Scholarship Winners!

Congratulations to seven local high school students who will receive scholarships from the Browns Point Improvement Club.  The BPIC will award $6,000 to this group of deserving students.  The scholarship is open to graduating seniors who live in the BPIC membership area with plans to attend college or vocational school.  The BPIC Scholarship Program is one of the many ways that the BPIC gives back to the local community and rewards community involvement, academic achievement, and future plans.  It is awarded every April; check the BPIC website next spring for the 2019 application.

The BPIC Scholarship Committee was impressed with the quality of the applicants and the amazing things they do across our community. Activities included volunteering and participating in United Way, Children’s Museum of Tacoma, Honor Societies, Science Camps, Band, Tennis, Soccer, Water Polo, Volleyball, BPIC Salmon Bake, Tacoma Homeless Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Local Food Banks, Key Club, Tutoring at local Kindergarten, Youth Leadership, Link Crew and Mission Trips to Mexico.
